According to industry publication McKnight’s Senior Living, availability is beginning to open up at residences as the COVID recovery continues. This means the time is now right for senior living live events.
Back in September, LeadingResponse surveyed over 2,000 prospects, including older Americans and their adult children. We found COVID-19 had made them hesitate to move into a senior living community. However, only 10% were actively reconsidering a move because of the pandemic.
Now’s the time for senior living live events
Here is some good news if you’re a senior care marketer who is used to holding seminars at local restaurants.
Today, over 75% of seniors in the U.S. have been vaccinated for COVID-19, Forbes reports, and the number of seniors becoming ill continues to shrink. Once again, some senior living communities are offering limited onsite tours. Meanwhile, restaurants are reducing or dropping capacity limits. And private dining rooms are available in some areas for larger gatherings.
Folks are eager to get out of their homes and eat a nice meal in a social atmosphere. This is the audience that will be most receptive to your message and therefore, more likely to respond to your invitation.
Continue to offer prospects flexibility
But keep in mind prospects still want to choose how they participate, advises Valerie Whitman, Vice President of Senior Living at LeadingResponse. “As consumers, we all do,” she said.
“That’s why I recommend senior living communities continue with a hybrid marketing approach, offering in-person events both onsite and offsite, and then an on-demand webinar option.”
